Meet Mrs. Van Camp
I graduated from Taylor University in rural Indiana in 2002 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. After graduation I started teaching kindergarten at Kingston. Two years later I began teaching third grade. At that time I began my Masters Degree in Reading and Literacy. I received my degree in 2006 from Walden University. This year is my 15th year teaching at Kingston and my third year teaching fourth grade.
I have four children who are a joy in my life. My daughter is in fifth grade and loves reading. She is playing volleyball for the first time this school year. My youngest son is nine and loves his sports. He is in third grade this year and snaps the ball for the Junior Lapeer Lightning Freshmen squad. The oldest likes to build all sorts of contraptions with K'nex and Legos. He is in eighth grade and plays the bass clarinet. Our other son is 12 and in the sixth grade. He plays hockey for the Lapeer Storm. In my free time I love watching sports as well as traveling. I love the University of Michigan too. Go Blue!
